Adele est en tête des nominations des Billboard Music Awards 2012, suivie de LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga et Lil Wayne.
La chanteuse Adele récolte 18 nominations et sa chanson « Rolling In The Deep » figure dans sept catégories. LMFAO reçoit 17 nominations et Rihanna 13. Lady Gaga et Lil Wayne sont, quant à eux, nominés à 10 reprises. Dans la catégorie Meilleur Nouvel Artiste, on retrouve Bad Meets Evil, Big Sean, Foster The People, Wiz Khalifa et Scotty McCreery.
Selon le site, « ces Awards reflètent les charts, dont les ventes d’albums, les téléchargements, les diffusions en radio, les tournées, ainsi que le streaming et les interactions sociales sur Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, Youtube, Spotify et autres sites populaires de musique. »
La cérémonie des Billboard Music Awards 2012 se tiendra le 20 mai à Las Vegas.
