Après la mixtape sortie l'année dernière 'Free Agents' et leur 6e album 'Amerikaz NightMare', les Mobb Deep vont sortir une nouvelle "mixtape format CD" (ce n'est pas vraie tape...). 'The Mixed Tape Before 9/11' sort aux Etats Unis le mardi 5 Octobre.

Ce sont des freestyles de Havoc et Prodigy posés sur des musiques westcoasts hyper connus. Le plus souvent, les musiques sont des instrumentaux de 2Pac ("All About U", "So Many Tears", etc...). En guests, 40 Glocc, Nate Dogg et The Little répondent présents.
