Après des apparitions sur « F.A.L.A. » de Gangstarr (Hard to Earn, 1994), « The Militia » (Moment of Truth, 1998); “Capture” (The Ownerz, 2003); dans plusieurs concerts et sur un premier opus en 2005, “Who’s Hard”; le membre de Gangstarr Foundation, Big Shug, prépare son second album qui s’intitule « Street Champ ».

Collaborant avec DJ Premier sur trois morceaux, dont « It Just Don’t Stop », Shug semble recréer son lien indélébile avec le super producteur. Le disque contient également des productions de MoSS (AZ, Sean Price, Joell Ortiz, Ghostface, Styles P). Enfin, figurent en tant que guests, Termanalogy, Sean Price et Big Twins d’Infamous Mobb.
