Le duo de Tenacious D a confirmé qu’il allait sortir un troisième album, « Rize of the Fenix », le 14 mai.

Jack Black et Kyle Glass ont réalisé 13 nouveaux titres, produits par John Kimbrough. Dave Grohl a collaboré à la réalisation de l’album, en se chargeant de jouer la batterie, comme sur les deux précédents albums.
