Vingt ans après son premier album studio (« The La’s », sorti en 1990) le groupe originaire de Liverpool, The La’s, n’a toujours pas sorti un deuxième opus. Quoi qu’il en soit, le groupe a récemment annoncé, au grand plaisir de ses fans, qu’une nouvelle compilation des chansons de The La’s sortira le 10 mai prochain en Grande-Bretagne.

Il s’agit de « Callin’ All », une collection composée de quatre CD et d’un livre de 60 pages, illustré par le designer du groupe Simon Ryan, et où figurent des photos inédites de The La’s.

Le premier CD du coffret comprendra tous les singles connus de The La’s, tels que « There She Goes » ou encore « Timeless Melody » dans une version inédite.

Dans le deuxième CD, le groupe aligne ses reprises de morceaux d’autres artistes ; le troisième et quatrième CD incluront, quant à eux, des chansons enregistrées lors de concerts effectués au Town et Country Club de Londres en 1989, ainsi qu’au « The Marquee » en 1991.
